πŸ’” Peter Andre Finally Speaks Out About His Marriage to Katie Price

The 53-year-old singer and former I’m A Celebrity contestant was wed to Katie between 2005 and 2009, having first crossed paths in the Australian jungle on the hit ITV programme.

Unfortunately, following their own reality television venture, the couple’s relationship soured, leading to a protracted public feud.

However, in recent times, Andre has remained tight-lipped about the union for the wellbeing of their two offspring, Junior and Princess.

When approached for his perspective on the marriage and this chapter of his life, which is explored in Katie’s latest documentary offering, Andre issued a statement that flashes up on viewers’ screens at the conclusion of the third episode.

An individual with long, dark hair is engaged in a serious conversation, with focused facial expressions and a contemplative demeanor. The person is dressed in a light-colored top and is situated in a softly lit, dimly illuminated room.

Andre stated: “I have chosen not to speak publicly about these matters out of love and respect for Junior and Princess.

Today Katie and I maintain an amicable relationship in the interests of our children. I sincerely wish her happiness and peace for the future.”

Reflecting on their romance that blossomed after their I’m A Celebrity encounter, Katie reveals in her new Sky Documentary: “By the end of it I was smitten with him. Meeting Pete and being with Pete were the best times of my life, without a doubt.”

She continues: “I had my prince, I knew I would be with him forever.”

Tragically, their ‘forever’ lasted merely a handful of years before the romance crumbled.

“The duo had begun clashing over professional commitments, while Peter also harboured suspicions that Katie had developed connections with other gentlemen.

Katie admits she found their shared agent Claire Powell “suffocating” at times, and longed to return to her glamorous Jordan persona rather than the polished image she maintained alongside Peter.

Reflecting on their sudden split in the documentary – one that came without any attempt at reconciliation – she describes it as “like a dagger in the heart”, revealing she had no desire to end the relationship.

In the fourth episode, she opens up further: “For people looking in we were the perfect couple.

“But there were things that weren’t right. It’s all about communication and we didn’t communicate, but we could have worked through it. We could have done, looking back. Can’t turn the clock back now, it’s weird.”

The series made its debut at the Sheffield Documentary Festival last month, with Katie describing it as the dawn of a new era in her life.

Speaking at the launch, she said: “I am so proud, you know. I’ve got beautiful kids. I’ve still got an amazing family. There’s not that many friends left for me, because I’ve learned that some of the friends are people I’ve needed to get rid of.”

She continued: “But I am definitely the best version I’ve ever been of myself.

“It’s like I’ve been in a washing machine and come out the other side with the experience and the knowledge, and I am at peace with myself. I feel like I’m starting my career again, and this is the start of my new career.”
