Pete Wicks ‘Locked Inside His Home for a Week’ After Terrifying Fall Leaves Him Unconscious

Pete Wicks has revealed he didn’t ‘leave the house’ for a week over the Christmas period after suffering a fall which knocked him unconscious. The TV star and presenter opened up about his latest accident to best pal Sam Thompson on their podcast, Staying Relevant, during which he admitted to ending up with burned eyelids.

After previously sharing his plans to spend the festive season alone following the death of one of his beloved dogs, Peggy, las year, Pete told Sam that he went to visit his mum, Tracey, and spent some time playing “card games” with her, before heading home, which is when he “started drinking a lot”.

He shared: “I had a couple of bottles of red wine. Then I had a couple of Guinness. And then, I thought, well it’s Christmas. So I had a bit of Tequila. It was nice. And a lovely bottle of rum. I really just went for it.”

Former Strictly Come Dancing star Pete told how he sat down to watch TV before the incident occurred when he got up to “refill his drink”. He explained: “I got up to refill my drink. And as I done that – I’ve got wooden floor. I was quite drunk and I didn’t see Eric. So, I fell over Eric. I had a fall.”

While Sam was about to joke about how Pete had another fall so soon after the last, Pete made of point of saying how much “worse” this one was. “I was unconscious,” he said. “I woke up with Eric licking my face. It’s quite dangerous. And it gets worse.

“I had candles on the coffee table. So, I had pulled a candle onto my face and had wax burn across all of my eye. I had taken off the skin of all of my eyelid and all under my eye.”

Pete went on to explain that he “burnt the entire” of his eyelid and under-eye and when he woke up he had “black wax” across his face. Because of the injuries, the former TOWIE star said he “didn’t leave the house” from Christmas Day until New Year’s Eve as his face was “quite swollen and quite pink.”

Pete previously up about not liking Christmas, and not being too fussed about the most recent holiday season because of the death of his French bulldog, Peggy. Speaking to MailOnline, Pete shared: “I don’t like Christmas,” before revealing: “One of my dogs died of meningitis recently, so I’ve only got one left. We’ll go away alone, I reckon. Basically, I’m going to be like a hibernating bear.”
