Pete Wicks wasn’t impressed
Pete Wicks was left far from impressed as pal Sam Thompson teased his rumoured relationship with Olivia Attwood. Following the breakdown of the former Love Island’s marriage to Bradley Dack, Olivia has been seen growing closer to her good friend Pete.
And Olivia, 35, and Peter, 37, were seen sharing a kiss on what appeared to be a cosy date night and the former Towie star was spotted on airport duties as Olivia returned from a girls’ holiday.
While neither will confirm they are dating, ex Made In Chelsea man Sam couldn’t help but make a sarcastic comment about their situation.
Speaking on the latest episode of the Staying Relevant podcast, Pete’s best pal Sam discussed the duo attending Olivia’s birthday party over the weekend with Sam’s girlfriend Talitha Balinska. As they chatted, Sam joked that him and Pete had both been partying with their ‘other halves.’
Pete immediately looks unimpressed at the comment and moved to shut down the topic. The discussion started by Pete saying: “Sam, Pippa and I were at a birthday party.” Sam quickly commented: “I love the way you’re taking control of this one Pete. Pete was there!’
Same went on: “I was there, Pete was there, Pippa was there, it was literally just us and our other halves.” He moved to correct himself quickly, saying: “Mine and Pippa’s I mean.”
But Pete fired back a stoney glare. As Sam looked awkward, he asked “no?”. And sternly, Pete responded with a blunt: “no”.
Pete was recently pictured welcoming Olivia back to the UK following her Miami trip with the girls. Pete opted for casual wear, with baggy grey trousers and a loose fitting white long sleeved shirt as he turned up at Heathrow to greet Olivia.
The duo enjoyed a quick coffee before Pete helped Olivia with her bags. She had been enjoying a getaway and was seen partying with Stacey Solomon stateside. Olivia, wore a zipped hoody, white t-shirt and New York baseball cap as she returned home.
Pete and Olivia’s friendship appeared to cross into more flirtatious territory shortly after Olivia’s split from Brad. The pair were seen sharing a kiss.
But despite seemingly growing closer, the steamy PDA is said to have set alarm bells ringing with close friends and family. Those close to Olivia are worried the former TOWIE bad boy could break her heart.
And Olivia’s ex, Bradley, is also said to be “embarrassed” by her publicly moving on so soon after their split. A source said last month: “Friends and family are very concerned about Pete.
“He’s got issues with commitment, so that is a worry for Olivia. Friends – and her mum in particular – are very worried, as while Pete is very charming, Liv has been through a lot.”
