Speaking about their involvement, the duo said they were “delighted” to support Childhood Day once again, describing it as a moment that unites people across the country through fun, generosity and purpose — all while raising vital funds to protect children.

The need for that support has never been more urgent.

Each year, around half a million children in the UK experience abuse or neglect, a heartbreaking statistic that charities like the NSPCC work tirelessly to change. Over the past year alone, the charity’s Childline service has seen a rise in counselling sessions for children suffering emotional abuse, with many reporting being shouted at, humiliated or verbally attacked in their own homes.

NSPCC CEO Sir Peter WanlesThis Morning scripthas described the situation as unacceptable, stressing that abuse affects seven children in every classroom before they reach adulthood — but insisting that change is possible when communities come together.

Funds raised through Childhood Day help keep essential services like Childline running, offering children a lifeline when they have nowhere else to turn. As the charity notes, just £4 can help a trained counsellor answer a call from a child in need.

Alongside Ant & Dec’s contribution, the celebrity auction also features prizes donated by well-known names including Jonah Hauer-King, Alan Titchmarsh and This Morning presenters — all united by one goal: protecting children and changing lives.

For fans, the message is simple yet powerful:
this is not just a chance to meet two of Britain’s most loved stars — it’s a chance to be part of something that truly matters.

NSPCC’s Childhood Day takes place on 7 June, with opportunities to donate, volunteer, fundraise or take part in the Childhood Day Mile.

Because sometimes, one bid… one act of kindness… really can change a child’s future.
