Gordon Ramsay just admitted he’s leaving none of his massive fortune to his kids — and the reason is blowing people away 😳

Gordon Ramsay won’t leave any of his money to his kids

‘It’s definitely not going to them’

Gordon Ramsay has never been afraid of speaking his truth and in the past he’s revealed why his kids wont be getting his inheritance.

The famous chef has revealed in the past the reason why his kids won’t be inheriting his fortune, saying that they won’t get any special treatment nor receive any money that they didn’t earn.

Gord has five children with his wife Tana. There’s Megan, twins Jack and Holly, Matilda, and Oscar.

Despite being a seemingly very close family, Gordon remains adamant that they wont be living on handouts saying: “It’s definitely not going to them, and that’s not in a mean way, it’s to not spoil them.

“The only thing I’ve agreed with Tana is that they get a 25% deposit on a flat, but not the whole flat.”

Gordon has also previously admitted that his children won’t get a job off him or receive any handouts from his celebrity friends.

He said on US radio: “I’m firm, I’m fair and I will give you everything I’ve got to get you to the very top.

“It’s like not employing the kids. I don’t want the staff thinking, ‘It’s Ramsay’s kid, we can’t tell them off’.

“You want to work in this business? You go to another chef, learn something different and come back with something new to improve the business.”

Gordon Ramsay welcomes sixth child but he won't leave his eye-watering fortune to his kids

Regardless of your opinion on Ramsay, he seems to be a man of his word.

Ramsay’s stance on inheritance reflects a broader philosophy that has guided both his parenting style and his professional life for decades: success should be earned, not handed down. Having built his culinary empire from the ground up, he has often spoken about the discipline, sacrifice, and resilience required to reach the top. For him, shielding his children from those lessons by offering unearned wealth would do them a disservice rather than a favor.

Those close to the family have noted that Ramsay applies the same high standards at home that he does in the kitchen. His children have been encouraged to pursue their own passions, whether inside or outside the food industry, without relying on their famous surname as a shortcut. This approach, Ramsay believes, helps them develop independence, humility, and a strong work ethic—qualities he considers far more valuable than financial security alone.

While some critics argue that denying children a substantial inheritance is unnecessarily harsh, others praise Ramsay for prioritizing character over comfort. In an era where celebrity offspring are often accused of benefiting from nepotism, his refusal to offer special treatment stands out. By limiting financial support to practical assistance, such as a housing deposit, he aims to provide a safety net without removing motivation.

Ultimately, Ramsay’s approach highlights an ongoing debate about wealth, privilege, and responsibility. Rather than measuring success by the size of his fortune, he appears more concerned with the kind of adults his children will become. Whether or not they choose careers connected to food, Ramsay wants them to stand on their own feet, confident in their abilities and proud of what they have achieved through hard work.
