Coronation Street star Jude Riordan has been seen celebrating the birthday of his co-star ‘bestie’, after asking if there was an age limit on when workmates could class themselves as being close friends.
Those who follow the ITV soap best know the young actor for playing Sam Blakeman, having arrived in Weatherfield in 2020 as the son of Nick Tilsley, who didn’t know he had a child, and the late Natasha Blakeman, and he has since gone on to be involved in a number of big storylines.
Jane, meanwhile, is best known for playing Bernie Winer in Corrie, having joined the long-running show back in 2019. At the time, Bernie was described as an ‘old raver who still sees herself as a free spirit’, and she has since faced many ups and downs, with a recent up seeing her marry local businessman Dev Alahan.

In one of his recent Instagram uploads, the teenage soap star shared photos of himself and his co-star sharing an embrace back when they first started working together, and some more recent photos. “How it started > how it’s going. 2020 > 2026. What’s the rules on work bestie ages as we’ve made up our own,” Jude captioned the post.
Responding to the upload, Jane was seen commenting: “Broken my insta ban.. just for you @justjude7! Love you kid.. You have always been AMAZING!”

He then followed up the post with a picture of himself and Jane out for dinner, as they enjoyed a huge pizza. He captioned: “Took JHG out for birthday pizza. This pizza was just mine. I miscalculated the size. This is what happens when I go up and order on my own [crying laughing emoji]. It’s not photoshopped it was the size of the moon. Go big or go home! #nels #pizza.”
And he was quickly flooded with comments. Corrie co-star Georgia Taylor replied: “Pahahhahahahahah oh honey this is hilarious,” as Junade Khan commented: “Suprised you didn’t manage to finish it.” Jane Danson said: “I’m still laughing.”
@miriamfowler1955 wrote: “That is one enormous pizza, one slice would have been enough for me, love yours and Jane’s friendship.” @cabeckwith1979 laughed: “Have you zoomed in on that pizza? It’s going to last you a week if not.” @no1_f.r.i.e.n.d.s_fan added: “You’re a pizza lover after my own heart!! That’s how you order a pizza!!!!”
