Little Lucciano Mortimore, who is well known in his hometown of Undy in Monmouthshire, travels around care homes with his grandad Frankie, singing for elderly and sick residents. Their performances have made them local favourites, and their videos online have attracted major attention from celebrities including Robbie Williams, Patsy Palmer, and Sugababes singer Keisha Buchanan. Robbie even messaged to say Lucciano reminded him of himself at a young age and encouraged him to keep chasing his dream.

Everything changed when a gang of masked thieves stole his mum Marise’s car from outside their home. All of Lucciano’s singing equipment was inside, leaving him unable to perform at upcoming care home shows. CCTV footage showed the suspects driving away the Land Rover from the quiet estate, taking all his gear just before a scheduled gig.
The young performer posted about the incident on Instagram to his 15,000 followers, and his mum said he was left in tears and deeply upset. The post quickly went viral after being shared by celebrity supporters who wanted to help.

One of those who saw the story was John Barrowman, who reached out directly after recently following Lucciano online. John Barrowman arranged a video call with the family while he was in America and told Marise he was a big fan of Lucciano’s singing. He also said he related to the boy, explaining that he himself started performing in care homes at a young age.
Barrowman then offered to replace all the stolen equipment so Lucciano could continue his charity performances. Through his UK team, a full new set of gear was organised and sent to the family, including speakers, a mixer, a high-end iPad, and a wireless microphone worth around £1,800.

Marise said the delivery felt like “Christmas morning” for her son, who was overjoyed and immediately called Barrowman his hero. The family later sent a thank-you video expressing their gratitude for the support.
Lucciano’s story also comes during his run on Britain’s Got Talent, where he and his grandfather Frankie performed a heartfelt audition that impressed all four judges. They received four “yeses” and a standing ovation after singing “History” by One Direction, with Frankie joining his grandson on stage in a touching moment that moved the audience.

The act became widely shared online, gathering tens of millions of views across social media and building strong public support. Lucciano also shared that his love of singing grew from performing in care homes with his grandfather during school holidays.
However, viewers were recently surprised when Lucciano and Frankie did not appear in the latest semi-final lineup. Fans took to social media asking what had happened, especially given their popularity and strong audition reaction.

Despite the confusion, the pair later posted a message explaining they had not been selected for the semi-finals. They thanked the show, judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and KSI, as well as Ant & Dec and the production team, for the opportunity. They also highlighted the huge support they received, including viral attention and over 50 million views across platforms.
In their message, they said performing together on stage was a dream come true and that surprising Frankie on stage was a special moment they will never forget. They ended
