Gordon Ramsay issued a new gushing statement about his daughter Holly’s ‘perfect wedding’ to Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty as he continued to remain silent on the topic of Adam’s absent family
Gordon Ramsay ignored all the talk of Adam Peaty’s missing family at the Olympian’s wedding to his daughter Holly as he gushed about the couple’s “perfect” day. Champion swimmer Adam, 31, and model Holly, 26, tied the knot in a stunning ceremony at Bath Abbey on Saturday, 27 December, watched by a host of A-list friends and loved ones.
Commenting on a photograph of the wedding party posted to Instagram by British Vogue, Gordon wrote: “Perfect wedding and such wonderful guests to witness your beautiful wedding. Congratulations to you both”, and tagged both his daughter and new son-in-law.
The snap includes Adam’s older sister Bethany, who was one of influencer Holly’s three bridesmaids, along with her sisters Tilly, 24, and Megan, 27, as well as the rest of the Ramsay clan.
Other well-known names on the couple’s guestlist included Victoria and David Beckham, along with their children Romeo, Cruz and Harper, former MasterChef: The Professionals judge Marcus Wareing, and Dragons’ Den star Sara Davies.
On the morning of what was one of the most talked-about weddings of the year, Gordon wrote on social media that he “couldn’t be a prouder dad”, adding: “I’m truly so lucky being able to walk this beautiful bride down the aisle and gaining an incredible son-in-law.”
In an interview accompanying the glamorous Vogue photos, Holly revealed she and gold medallist Adam, who got engaged in September 2024, were heading off on a luxury honeymoon courtesy of her dad and mum, Tana Ramsay.
“We’re going to Mauritius to just lie by the sea – that was our wedding present from my parents,” she told the magazine. “I had to tell Adam we weren’t basing our honeymoon around a 25-metre pool…”.
Things reportedly went south between the groom and his family when his mum, Caroline, was absent from Holly’s hen do at the swanky Soho Farmhouse. After the event, Adam’s aunt, Louise Williams, took to Instagram to share her views on the alleged snub, writing, “@hollyramsayy I’m so glad that you had a great hen do.
“As a bride, you deserve that. However, as a person you were divisive and hurtful towards a woman, who I have loved and continue to love deeply.”
