Inside Guy Fieri’s Son’s Loving Birthday Tribute to His New Bride

On Saturday, Dec. 6, the son of Food Network star Guy Fieri shared a heartfelt post for the pickleball pro, who recently turned 29.

“Happy Birthday to my Wife!” Hunter began the Instagram caption, which accompanied a carousel showing recent images of the couple.

The first photo showed the pair posing amid festive balloons and other decorations in honor of Tara’s big day.

“My beautiful, amazing, phenomenal wife!” Hunter continued. “Tara you are one of the most talented, caring, and loving people I have ever met. I am honored to call you my wife! I love you so much and Happy Birthday babe ❤️🙌.”

Tara also shared a video with highlights from the surprise celebration, writing, “Feeling so loved, grateful, and emotional heading into my last year of my 20s.”

The couple were in New York for a Major League Pickleball event, where the Brooklyn Pickleball Team announced that it sold a minority stake to them, adding the Fieris to the team’s ownership group.

When Hunter turned 29 on Aug. 13, just weeks before their Aug. 30 wedding at the Fieri family ranch in Sonoma, Calif., Tara shared her own tribute to her husband-to-be.

“Happy birthday to my rock @hunterfieri 🤍 can’t believe this is the last birthday I’ll celebrate with you as fiancés🥹,” she wrote alongside clips from a pre-wedding shoot.

“From the moment we met, you’ve been my safe place, my biggest cheerleader, and my favorite adventure!!” Tara went on. “You are an incredible human and life with you is filled with laughter, love, and the kind of moments I wish I could bottle up forever🤍 cheers to you babe!!!! 29!!!!”

The couple welcomed 350 guests at their wedding, which included a “Denim & Diamonds” themed welcome party, a petting zoo, and a massive custom wedding cake by Cake Boss star Buddy Valastro.

Tara opened up about having Guy as a father-in-law during an interview with PEOPLE in August.

“There’s just so many different fun versions of him, and we always have a blast all together as a family,” she said, describing the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives host as “super big on being family-oriented.”

While Tara admitted she was never “a big food person or cooking girl,” she said the Food Network personality had encouraged her to expand her palate.

“[Guy] encourages me to learn different things and try new foods because I have been a picky eater,” she said.

“It’s so interesting now because I’ve never really stepped outside of my comfort zone and it’s been able to help me take those steps,” she added. “So it’s been nice.”
