The Chase took a dramatic turn on Wednesday when Mark Labbett – better known as The Beast – stormed off the show after losing by a mere second.
The professional quizzer, 60, was up against four new hopefuls, who had managed to get the prize pot to a cool £17,000 before the final chase began.
Scoring 19, Mark attempted to match this number but lost with just a second to spare when he incorrectly guessed ‘cheese’ as the right answer.
Acknowledging the team’s win, Mark seethed ‘well played guys,’ before abruptly leaving the set.
Bradley said: ‘Oh, the big bad boy of quizzing is off… he’s bashing everything and he’s lost his cool completely.
‘Well, that’s the way it goes. It’s a very, very, very fine margin, folks, it really is.’
The Beast’s actions went far from unnoticed by viewers on social media, with many dubbing him a ‘sore loser’

Elsewhere in the game, The Chaser was left baffled when he got a seemingly simple question wrong.
Mark faced the question: ‘Which Hollywood actor has an identical twin called Sami Malek?’
In response, Mark said ‘Remy Malek’, however, he was told that this was wrong – and the players were given the answer for their reply of ‘Rami Malek’.
Reacting to the loss on social media, one viewer admitted that as far as they were concerned, Mark was ‘robbed’.
They wrote: ‘He was robbed, he pronounced the name Rami with a long A (think “Raimi” like Sam Raimi. Brad heard it was Remi.’

Mark’s storming off the set, however, is not the only eye-popping incident to recently occur on The Chase.
Bradley couldn’t help but slam the contestant on Tuesday’s episode for his ‘ridiculous’ answer to a question.
In the episode, contestant Damien went head-to-head with Darragh Ennis – aka The Menace – and selected a £6,000 offer after doing well in the cashbuilder round.
Bradley asked him: ‘In 2024, Wild Thang was named the World’s Ugliest… what?’
Damien was then given three possible options – dog, cat and baby.
But instead of opting for a cat or dog as his answer, Damien genuinely thought that there had been a World’s Ugliest Baby Competition in 2022 and went on to select baby as the answer.
He said: ‘I don’t remember, but I’ve seen lots of videos of ugly babies on social media.’
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the answer shocked Bradley, who stood looked at the player open-mouthed, and said: ‘Wow’.
Bradley added: ‘How to win friends and influence people, hey, Damian? The correct answer is… can’t be baby, surely.’
Mercifully for Bradley, he was right and he revealed the correct answer to be dog.
‘Thank the Lord!’ he admitted.
Of the correct answer, Bradley added: ‘It’s one of those poor unfortunate ones, where its tongue is always sticking out and it’s not the prettiest animal.’
Still not over Damien’s answer, Bradley couldn’t help but point out hat he would have been in a good position in the game if he had opted for a more sensible answer.
He admitted: ‘We would still be well in it by now if you hadn’t put that ridiculous answer.’
