The Princess of Wales has spent the day celebrating the culture, community and heritage of the British Indian community in Leicester.
Kate’s visit came the day after the Hindu festival of Holi. She visited the Aakash Odedra Dance Company and Shreeji Dham Haveli, a Hindu temple, while also delighting crowds by greeting them outside the venues.
The Princess of Wales began her day in Leicester by meeting with Aakash Odedra, an award-winning choreographer and dancer who now runs the Aakash Odedra Company.
She then visited the temple, which offers a tranquil space for worship as well as community activities including yoga classes, language lessons and musical programmes.
