British broadcaster Piers Morgan underwent hip replacement surgery after suffering a nasty fall at a London restaurant.
The 60-year-old shared a photo Sunday from a hospital bed, where he said he was recovering from surgery after tripping on a “small step” that led to severe injuries.
Morgan said that he had a “fractured femur” after the spill at the London establishment — an injury that hurt him “so badly I needed a new hip” in the aftermath.

His post included additional updates on his condition, with Morgan telling his followers that he’s “recovering in hospital” and is required to use crutches for the next six weeks.
“New Year off to a cracking start!” Morgan wrote. “I blame Donald Trump.”
Morgan’s photo accompanying the post sees him hooked up to an IV and breathing tubes, while he flashed a thumbs-up to the camera.
In another post, Morgan shared an image of himself reading a newspaper headline touting his accident, and tagged his Good Morning Britain peers before joking that they missed “the big news today” related to the incident.
On a later broadcast, the hosts told viewers that Morgan was “recovering well in the hospital” and wished him “good luck with your recovery.”
They also joked that Morgan might’ve been drunk at the time of his fall, to which he replied on social media, “To clarify, ZERO alcohol was involved in the incident,” alongside a laughing emoji.
In addition to his sometimes controversial career as a broadcaster, Morgan competed on a celebrity edition of Trump’s The Apprentice, which he won over other stars like Marilu Henner, Vincent Pastore, Omarosa Manigault Newman, Stephen Baldwin, and Trace Adkins, among others.
