Tributes have been pouring in for the Britain’s Got Talent finalist and her partner following the tragedy.
Britain’s Got Talent finalist Letitia Cuney, 53, and her partner Cheryl Pierre, 47, died in a collision just days after Christmas. The collision occurred on the A10 near Chittering, in Cambridgeshire, on December 28, involving a white Nissan Qashqai and a silver BMW 520D. Letitia was driving the BMW and was a member of the choir NSO, which was in the final of the ITV talent show, hosted by Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, and Alesha Dixon. Their families have paid tribute to the women, with Letitia’s loved ones describing her as a “true legend”.

Letitia sadly died on December 30 at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, and Cheryl passed away on January 1 from her injuries at he same Cambridgeshire hospital.
The singer’s family said in a heartbreaking statement: “Guided by her values and love for her family, she made the courageous decision to move to England with her one-year-old child, despite having never visited the country before. Following her move, Letitia led an industrious and fulfilling life as a teacher.
“To everyone who met Letitia, she was a force to be reckoned with – an energetic, powerful presence and a genuinely kind-hearted individual. She will be sorely missed as a mother, sister, daughter, teacher, colleague, and friend to many.”
She worked as a teacher across Essex and Northamptonshire for her career and was affectionately known as “Miss Cuney” and a “legend” by students.
