With the World Cup final just hours away, North America has hosted the tournament that his gripped the world for the last five weeks. The New York New Jersey Stadium will host the final today, on Sunday, July 19. Fans based in the UK should prepare for the action to begin at 8pm local time, which equates to a 3pm kick-off for locals on the east coast of the United States.
Argentina, who beat England in a dramatic semi-final, are aiming to become the first team since Brazil in 1962 to retain their crown for a second tournament.
Spain will be fighting to win their second World Cup in 16 years after dominating France in the last four. Meanwhile, England sealed their best finish at a World Cup for 60 years by beating France 6-4 in a scarcely believable bronze final on Saturday night.
But for some of us, the antics in the stands have been just as interesting as the game itself. Showbiz fans have been eagerly spotting the whole spectrum of celebrities, from nailed-on A Listers to a number of Love Island stars.
