Ant McPartlin left Declan Donnelly stunned when he revealed that he’s been frequently exchanging messages with Love Actually and Harry Potter star Bill Nighy. What makes it more unbelievable is that the British actor has a terrible potty-mouth and litters his messages with expletives.
The boys were reflecting on their cameo in Love Actually, where they met Bill, when Ant revealed that he’s remained in contact with the BAFTA-winning star since they filmed the movie over twenty years ago. Dec recalled: “Bill Nighy was the nicest man on earth as you can imagine”
Ant replied: “He’s a lovely man, I have spoken to him since being in there, I have seen Bill Nighy a couple of times, just round and about at different places, coffee shops or whatever.

“And we’ve got each other’s number and we text each other every now and again, yeah I text Bill Nighy every now and again.”
Dec interjected: “No you do not”, to which Ant insisted: “I do! I swear to God”.
Ant then pulled up the messages, and Dec exclaimed: “Oh my God! He’s got Bill Nighy’s phone number and they have been texting.”
However, Dec then questioned whether if it was really Bill and joked that Ant could have saved his mum’s number as ‘Bill Nighy’ but he then showed Ant some of the more X-rated messages.
“Well my mum doesn’t swear that much, look at that message there”, he laughed.
Dec attempted to read a portion of the message out but it was bleeped for their podcast, “We’ll have to bleep that out”, Ant shouted.
The boys then reiterated how kind Bill was onset in 2003, Ant gushed: “He is really good to be in the scenes with wasn’t he? Because he was very generous and not like a stuck up actor, you can imagine that some actors when two TV hosts have been cast in a movie, might be like, ‘What, really?’
“But he was a gent.”
